Hello and welcome!

My name is Megan and I am the owner and pastry chef of Cute Cakes and Bakes. I wanted to take this opportunity and use the first post of this blog to introduce myself and let you guys know what you can expect from it. As you may have read from the about page, I did graduate from Johnson & Wales University and studied abroad in France for a little while.

I started Cute Cakes and Bakes after being laid off from job at a macaron shop. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to actually start a business, so I did a test with mothers day and made some mother’s day boxes.

It didn’t go too badly, so I thought why not. I enjoy baking, was already making stuff on the side, and didn’t have anything better to do. So I started Cute Cakes and Bakes.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, drawing, and playing games. Just recently my boyfriend and I went to Michigan and hiked around the pictured rocks area and went to Mackinac Island. I had always wanted to try high tea and was finally able to at their Grand Hotel. I was not disappointed.

For the future of this blog, I think that I’ll probably be posting things related to Cute Cakes and Bakes and recipes. If there’s anything else that you guys are interested in reading, let me know 🙂
